As one of Nike’s first ever hardwood models, originally released in 1973, the Blazer predates the revolutionary developments that would make Nike and cutting edge technology synonymous; the Blazer is just a leather upper with a nylon tongue, atop a vulcanized rubber sole, but this versatile simplicity allowed the Blazer to catch on in fields like skateboarding and casual fashion, long after its active court days were over.
